The fashion world has certainly been affected by the lockdown in many parts of the world and many brands have taken advantage of this moment to advance their plans for the next collections. And even in the midst of chaos, some trends have already gained prominence in the last parades of early 2020 in Europe. Are we going to see some of them today together?
Hi guys, how are you?
In the last post we talked a little about the expectation of how the fashion world expects to be after the coronavirus pandemic, after all the textile industry was one of the most affected at this time, as a result of this the alteration of the dates of the big fashion shows that would happen in February changed for September of this year of 2020. In the last autumn-winter 2021 parades that took place in the beginning of 2020 here in Europe we had great highlights of some trends that will emerge for next winter.
One of the great trends included will certainly be conscious consumption, and what has been most talked about in the big brands, excessive consumerism, exaggeration, everything that is too much, will certainly be left a little behind and give way to a fashion more conscious, with natural fabrics, prints that bring a sense of comfort to the pieces, with a theme and colors of nature, including in all this a new accessory in the wardrobe of the world and that has shown that it will be an indispensable item in this moment, the face mask.
We separated 3 trends that stood out for the next winter of 2021 and we will see a little of each one now.
* COLOR BLOCK
Yes, the color block trend has come and gone and it will come with everything this next season in the composition of looks, both in flat fabrics, as in prints and combinations that have already been darling in other seasons like pink and red and even with the purple and even pink tone will be successful. It was that we saw in the parades of Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Alberta Ferretti (see below).
- FOLK
The Folk style that makes a mix with boho has also had its moment of prominence, but it will return. With the colors of nature, earthy and nude tones, floral elements, which bring a more bohemian look to the outfit, it will be perfect with fabrics with natural bases. As we saw in the parades of: Etro, Celine, Chloé (see below).
- MINI CHECK
Seen in the parades the geometric prints in a different way, this patterning will now come with smaller proportions than we are used to seeing. As we said earlier, the exaggeration, the excess will be left a little aside in this post pandemic moment, and this will also reflect in the proportion of the prints and patterns as we saw here in the major brands Givenchy, Gucci, Chloé (See below).
